Dear Mervelee
Thank you for contacting the Mayor of London about discrimination, I am sorry to hear this.
I am writing to inform you that we have passed on your correspondence to the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
The Mayor of London, as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London, is responsible for setting policing and crime priorities for London and holds the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police to account.
The Mayor exercises his role as Police and Crime Commissioner for the capital through MOPAC, which is the strategic oversight body tasked with devising the Police and Crime Plan and ensuring that it is delivered.
Given this, it is appropriate that we pass your correspondence to MOPAC. They aim to respond within 20 working days.
If you have any further questions please contact MOPAC directly, who aim to respond as soon as possible, however please note, some cases involve investigation, so it may take longer for a response to be issued.
In an emergency always call the police on 999 or 101.
Email:enquiries@mopac.london.gov.uk
Tel: 020 7983 6532.
Thank you again for writing.
Yours sincerely,
Liz Ashby
