Hi there – just a reminder that the next Zoom meet-up for the Bermondsey ‘10 Keys to Happier Living’ group is tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll see some of you there! As always, we’ll begin at 7pm and finish around 8.30pm, with about 15 mins of extra time at the end for anyone who’d like to stay around to chat further or ask any questions.
We’ll also start the call at 6.55pm for anyone who hasn’t been before – just so that we can say hi properly before other people join (but no worries if you can’t make it earlier +/or would prefer just to join at 7pm – it’s just there as an option in case any of you would like to).

This month’s theme is Optimistic October and we’ll be focusing on the key of ‘direction’ (having goals to look forward to) from the 10 Keys to Happier Living. As Action for Happiness say “feeling good about the future can be very supportive to our present happiness – choosing ambitious but realistic goals gives our lives direction and brings a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when we achieve them. A sense of direction can help us to relax and feel like things are on track”. We’re looking forward to chatting about this and hearing everyone’s thoughts!

Getting on top of the technology really helps
● Get Zoom: Install Zoom on your device (it’s free) https://zoom.us/support/download
● Test Call: Before joining the call, make sure you’ve checked that your connection, audio
and video all work http://zoom.us/test (note: using headphones can help).
● Use Link: Your group organiser will send you a unique link to join your group.
● Join Audio: When you join the call, you may need to activate audio to hear and be heard.
You can find this option in the bottom left next to the microphone symbol.
● Mute Audio: We recommend you mute audio when not speaking. If you want to speak
and your microphone has been switched off by the host, use the “raise hand” option.
● Gallery View: To switch between Gallery View (seeing everyone) and just the speaker or
presentation, click the option in the top right corner (Speaker/Gallery view).
● Your Space: Pick somewhere to join the call that is comfortable, has good internet
connection and has minimal distractions. Sit by a wall for a less busy background too.
