Just watched Wayne Rooney on tv. Found that clippings of Valdin Legister & am thinking coincidence or what… Black History Month time to get on with documentation. I have bits of paper littering the house that I have to tidy away. My week is full so praying for salvation. In the words of MLK FAL… No amt of money can buy CLASS. Tek pig out a mud & dress s/he in white s/he gaan straight back guh walla ina mud-mud. Me Myself & I. Happy “Silver Sunday” to ALL the Matured, Older & Wiser Folks out there 2day…? & even if U believe like Aunt May dat every Election Year U are only 25 years old, U are welcome 2 join in the Celebrations 2…? As of Friday I felt like Mama’s Age as I just can’t cotton out how she managed to keep on going all these years after dad took sick? 2day I remember the MiL who got away Ms Connie Legister & All the Folks from Mum’s era who had such pivotal roles to play in my life. Not enough space & time 2 name U individually but Ur contributions to my upbringing are poignant memories to the Formidable Person I am today!

SgOSonpoctgsobmer o5r, 2h01sd3  · London  · Time to salute my Grand Father CLADIUS CHAMBERS who was instrumental in providing US with the indomitable Woman who is Our Mother. Although I was not lucky enough to have known grandpa Claudie I’ve heard so much about his exploits that it does not matter. He was unfortunate to be amongst the male members of my family to depart this world early, but from all accounts he packed plenty into his life. He was 1 of twin who survived and ended up marrying my grandma. They ended up having a couple of children of whom only Mama and her brother Terah survived childhood. Grandpa had another girl Claris who married Dixon and lived in Hanover. Granddad’s most memorable exploits was said to be that with the Spanish Jar aka Panyah Jar with his cousin Mr Banny Bernard. Suffice it to say they never got the treasure as pure excitement caused them to call out the name and the blinking SIN-ting tun back wid all de Gold intact. Grandpa had several relatives from Grange Hill -(Raymond Hall & Co) all the way to the USA. However I have lost track of grandpa’s family and would dearly love to link, if anyone knows them.Those of the Family who are lucky to inherit grandpa’s Genes are as Tall as a Coconut Tree in the air? Octolbpreroi i5,ior gef20S1e3  · London  · Today I must salute my class Teacher at Townhead Primary School, Ms Una Perry. Ms Perry was the first person to empower me to have belief in myself and to realised that most things are achievable even when the odds are stacked up against one. I could not be more than about 9 years old when I encountered one of the many obstacles that were to confront me throughout my life. However Ms Perry was there with the perfect solutions which helped me overcome the deprivations commonly called being POOR. As it was coming up to the time for the annual Christmas Concert at the TBC, all the classes were practising for their minute of fame inside the big community monument. It was an honour to go on stage to perform, so I was more than happy to be selected amongst the chosen few. After practising with my class and preparing myself for the big day, my hopes were dashed and my confidence dented when mum said she did not have any money to buy new shoes for me to go to church. So with my face screwed up & me chin almost reaching the ground I have to stop practising. But I did not recon with the astuteness of my dear teacher who quickly got to the heart of the matter, when she realised I’d stop practising. When I told her the reasons which goes as follows: Mama could not afford to buy me a pair of shoes and all I had to my foot/name was the old bugga/crepe wid me big toes peeping out ina me face. Ms Perry told me to stop wearing the crepes to school and wash them put down for the big day. I heeded her advice and carry on practice, but tun up to school wid me platter every day. Low and behold I get fi guh up pon rostrum at TBC wid me class mates dem guh recite, sing and do Carole Speaking to my heart’s content. So God bless Ms Una for her ingenuity & being aware of my needs when I was at my most Vulnerable. She restored my self-confidence and self-esteem to overcome constraints and barriers which maybe placed in your ways. I am sure coming from the same community where everyone knows everyone else’s business in a goodly way was instrumental in her solving my immediate dilemmas.

When I attended counselling at the Maudsley Hospital, the Trainee Counsellor advise me it was okay to use whatever therapy to get me back to being #MERVELEEMYERS. So I start the ball rolling with my God-Mother Mrs Ida McFarlane. Ms Ida’s husband Mr Mac was crippled from sum accident of which I am not too sure about the facts. He was always well turned out and seated on the veranda whenever you walked past their home or when I visited. I guess without knowing at the time I was being taught sum of the old fashioned values associated with caring that were to become the bedrock of my later life. The McFarlane had plenty of land leading all the way from near the Townhead Cross Roads on one side which was rented out to poor people like my parents for house spots. And there were more lands facing the other side as well, which had all kinds of fruit trees and if my memory served me right sugar cane?I am not sure if my God-Mother had any children of her own, but there were 2 persons whom she raised Florette & Mr aka King Turner. In those days I know God-Parents were chosen because of their many qualities as well as abiding by the rules of the Bible, which was to be responsible and accountable as the parents. My God-Mother did live up to her responsibilities to every words from the good Book. I can recall whenever I visited I would return home laden with presents/gifts in the forms of food parcels and most importantly pocket money. I am sure those little gifts were a big help to my parents who must have had it hard struggling to raise the big family they were blessed with. You see I guess my parents were old fashioned and believed in having out their lots? So today I remember my God-Mother & all who were associated with her. I am blessed to have had such a wonderful person who touched my life. XXX Thank God for all God-Mothers!

Kicking off I shall be saluting my Papa Ivan Sandyman NEMBHARD who was the 2nd child of Charles & Irene Mills-Nembhard. Dad was born in Aberdeen St Elizabeth where he grew up with 13 siblings. Being the 2nd child he was responsible for helping his parents with the upbringing of his younger siblings. He was to have the unenviable tasks of naming them as well. This information was shared by my auntie Evelyn aka Marty when I made the pilgrimage to St Dacre St Ann to meet her and my family.Dad trained as a tailor and peddled his trade in Manchester for a short period before returning home. Thereafter he walked all the way to Westmoreland to find employment and eventually set up home there. He worked at the West Indies Sugar Company Ltd – Frome Division for his entire working life from thence. He was the only member of his family to head to Westmoreland where he established the Nembhard branch of the Dynasty. He went on to marry Perline Louise Chambers and they went on to have 8 children. Dad was a Holier than thou person who lived his life from the verses of the Holy Bible. So it was not unusual for us to be brought up circumspect and for him to cleave to one woman until his untimely death at the age of 62 years old. Dad will be fondly remembered for all his exceptional qualities and at times I prayed that I am more like him in my demeanour, but sad to say I have failed on most counts! It is with great pleasure that I am more than proud to say I am a product of my father and I truly revere my life learning some of what I could from him. So when the roads get rocky and the burdens are too many to bear, I recalled how dad bore his trials and tribulations with dignity. I am striving to be the sort of person dad would have liked me to be, and one day I hope to meet up with dad in that place where there is no sorrow or pain?

Today Mervelee Ratty Nembhard is going to Barclays UK about the 3 #scammers in the Tower Bridge branch that can help me emphasise the #importance of the “Digging Song” that my #son Kevin Murray #wife #mother Danny Turner and Sonia Powell and Mervelee Myers acted out at the Townhead Primary School Parents Teachers Association Meeting. Also performing was Pansy Holland doing the sketch with a #bunchofbanana. My son #KevinMurray and #DonnettLee were in the dancing Trawler Load of Girls. Who could have known the events leading me to the bank today. I begged the South London Press to publish my story in 2004 and the rest is history as the UK government will be held accountable for the continuation of colonisation of BLACK PEOPLE. The University of East London has first choice to help me #decolonise the Early Years #curriculum because LEYF is situated across from them in East London. In London Borough of Southwark I was treated less favourably than an animal at BIB. Read the Southwark News about the appalling treatment of employees. I was treated at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and http://www.slam-iapt.nhs.uk/ can cash in on my experiences after supporting me or miss out.

Let me first say thanks to the 2 tutors who helped me settle when I turned up late, flustered because I got mixed up. I explained it was important for me to be out of my house today.
