14 June 2024
Dear Resident Panel member

You will have heard the news that a General Election is happening on Thursday 4 July. As an arm’s length public body, the Housing Ombudsman’s work will continue, however we will not publish any determinations during this time known as the pre-election period. We are also not able to discuss any matters that might be viewed as political at speaking events, however, we are pleased to let you know that the first Resident Panel 2024-27 meeting will still take place next week via Zoom, as planned.

Resident Panel meeting on Tuesday 18 June
We are looking forward to meeting those of you that have signed up to join next weeks’ meeting which will take place via Zoom on:

Tuesday 18 June 2024 at 5pm to 6pm

If you have not signed up yet and would like to attend, then please register below.

Ask the Ombudsman
At the meeting the Housing Ombudsman will be answering questions you sent us following our last email to you.

Thank you to those of you that submitted a question for the Ombudsman. We received a lot of excellent questions and will try to cover as much ground as possible.

It is unlikely that we will have the time to cover every query at this first meeting, but we hope to use this regular mailing dedicated to our members to share learning and continue to improve the information on our website.

Any questions that do not get answered at the meeting, we will provide a written response after the election.

Do you need help using Zoom?
Our Resident Panel is made up of residents that live in social housing across all areas of England. As a national panel, all our meetings take place on Zoom.

We have put together this helpful guide to let you know what to expect from virtual meetings – from how to register to the meeting itself.

How panel meetings work
What it means to be a panel member
Since the panel’s appointment, we have received several queries about incentives for panel members. As a member of the Housing Ombudsman panel, you will receive invitations to join meetings with the Ombudsman and its team, asked for your say on consultations, and to provide evidence to our reports and asked for feedback via surveys.

The Panel will meet around 4 times per year, and we will also sometimes invite you to join smaller, topic focused groups based on the information that you provided when you applied to join.

We understand you have busy lives, and we would like to stress that there is no requirement to respond to every request for information or attend every meeting.

As a member of the Housing Ombudsman Resident Panel, you will get to:

  1. Share your experiences
Tell us about your experiences to help us identify areas where services can be improved and help us make sure residents are at the centre of our work.
  2. Shape our service
Attend regular meetings with the Ombudsman and have your say via short surveys, consultations, and virtual discussions. Your feedback will give residents a voice in everything we do.
  3. Learn more about the Housing Ombudsman
Be the first to hear about the work we are doing to improve landlord services and how it will positively impact residents living in social housing.
  4. Talk to others
We want to make sure our service is accessible to all residents that live in social housing. As a Panel member, you can help us reach residents in your local community and raise awareness the service.

Please note that you will not be paid for being a member of the panel, and we cannot provide IT equipment. We are also unable to discuss individual complaints at meetings or via the resident panel inbox.

If you need help with a complaint about your landlord please contact the Dispute Support team via info@housing-ombudsman.org.uk

Resident Panel Charter
Housing issues the Housing Ombudsman can consider
Some of the questions we received were about housing issues that fall outside of our remit to consider. The Housing Ombudsman considers complaints about the housing management activities of a social housing landlord – for example, complaints about repairs, property condition and its response to reports of antisocial behaviour.

We cannot look at complaints about how a local authority allocates properties through its housing register or their duty to provide homelessness assistance. These complaints should be referred to the Local Governement and Social Care Ombudsman.

More information on the housing issues we can consider is available on our website. It would be helpful to get your views on this page – you can provide website feedback via our website or send it to us directly at residentpanel@housing-ombudsman.org.uk

What housing issues can the Ombudsman consider?

A safe space to share your views
We have set out expectations of panel members and when we may apply our policy on unreasonable behaviour.

Dear Trevor and Mervelee,

I am sorry to bother you, but the price I quoted originally for the grave purchase £7,055.35 was the prices for Camberwell Old Cemetery, Forest Hill.  The actual price for Camberwell New Cemetery, Supreme Grave was £8,794.30.  So unfortunately there is an outstanding amount of £1,738.95.

I hope this can be settled at your earliest possible convenience.

Kind regards,

Debra O’Melia

To Whom It May Concern

Dear Ashton Funeral Directors – Brixton

Sorry to bother you, but can any future communications to do with my husband Arnold Ebenezer Tomlinson be sent to Trevor Anthony Tomlinson, his son and Executor of his WILL. I don’t mind being copied in. However, I have carried out all the instructions about the funeral and more to the best of my abilities.

My husband asked me to collect money that was outstanding, now Trevor can collect the amount and pay the outstanding and give me the rest. I am tired of being treated with disrespect and accused of all sorts by my husband’s families and members of those who made our lives a living hell the past 23 years.

Thanks for your understanding on this matter whilst am trying to stay out of prison and not become homeless because of how Trevor colluded with Deborah Agnes Gilchrist to torment us.

I am expecting Trevor Tomlinson to settle at his earliest convenience for my husband’s sake.

Kindest regards.

Mervelee Myers.

🌟 WE DID IT! 🌟
We smashed our target for The Big Give and raised over £8,000 in under two weeks! 🚀

We couldn’t have done it without your help, so from everyone at The Kids Network, we’d like to say a massive ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone that pledged, donated and spread the word ❤️

The £8,000 you’ve helped us to raise is equivalent to roughly 400 hours of dedicated, child-led mentoring for little Londoners.

Children in London are bearing the brunt of the Cost of Living crisis, with more and more children unable to enjoy activities outside of home and school, and feeling stressed, anxious and isolated.

Your donations will provide a lifeline, enabling children to have fun, explore London, try new acitivities, and enjoy one-to-one support every week from their TKN mentor 🎁

Thank you for supporting little Londoners!
It’s not too late – click here to donate now

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!
We’re so happy that The Big Give Champions For Children was a success, but we still need your help!

We rely entirely on donations to deliver our mentoring programme for 300 little Londoners in need of support each year.

If you missed out on donating to The Big Give, it’s not too late to support children in your community!

Please give £5 a month to help improve the mental health of little Londoners with one-to-one mentoring.

MY FUTURE MATTERS

Throughout The Big Give’s Champions For Children campaign, we asked our mentees to tell us how they imagine their future.

It is so vital for children to have the space and confidence to feel positive about the future and dream.

With your help we can support children before inequality affects their wellbeing and aspiration, to help them DREAM BIG!

Thank you for supporting little Londoners.

We know that without you, we could not achieve this incredible impact for children in London.

MVL newsletter – June 2024
Dear Media Volunteer,
At the end of April, it was announced that His Majesty King Charles III would become the Patron of Cancer Research UK.

This announcement, of course, is hugely exciting for the charity and we hope, with His Majesty’s help, we can accelerate the progress we make in cancer research.

Another seismic change on the horizon for us all comes in the form of a general election. This will take place on Thursday, July 4th with a new government set to meet on July 9th. This of course, will have huge implications on our work and it’s likely our Policy and Press teams will be asking for support from media volunteers.

Whatever July brings we’ll continue to need you, our media volunteers, to share your stories to help bring about change.
Thank you for being a media volunteer.
Best wishes,

Race for Life launch
Music lover and recovering ovarian cancer patient Shannon got to meet pop star Pixie Lott at this year’s launch of Race for Life.

The media volunteer was invited to Battersea Power Station to help launch the event, less than a mile from the location of the first ever Race for Life in 1994.

HPV vaccine
Media volunteer Gem shared her story last month to help us with a press release that revealed the HPV vaccine stops an incredible 90% of cervical cancer cases.
Gem was diagnosed in 2015 after attending cervical screening and now lives cancer free.

World Elder Abuse Day

Published 14 June 2024

Today, June 15, marks World Elder Abuse Day—a time to raise awareness about the mistreatment of older people. This day is recognized worldwide and aims to highlight the importance of protecting our elderly population. MM Response: I will be using relevant documents, videos, arguments in addressing this matter without breaching the injunction imposed to making me a voiceless, vulnerable, victim of the systemic discrimination leaving me with the aftermaths of Dr. Juanita Cox http://www.researchpaper.org.uk that I was a participant of “The Experience of Multiple Discriminationhttps://youtube.com/shorts/cgxZ5QIQct8?si=mPtw7s46_S57T4lL.

Elder abuse can take many forms: MM Response: Refer to Ref: MEL/HOU16/258/239677 for the classic case of the many forms of “Elder Abuse” that was inflicted on Mervelee Myers and Arnold Tomlinson from after the 13th December 2021 https://youtu.be/umCkr178Nhw?si=_JzRqdXZ7Dj14nCp.

Including physical harm MM Response: Refer to various reports to the Metropolitan Police from Holly Sweeny led Nikki Wright and 2 male colleagues to my home on the 30th November 2020 under cover of the LEYF http://www.leyf.org.uk Margaret Horn Lecture. The MOPAC Report of Neil Solliss and Nikki Babb will be used to expose how the Metropolitan Police is party to Elder Abuse of Mervelee Myers from 2017. At Housing for Women, we believe in supporting and protecting vulnerable groups, including older women. Dear Ms Myers,

My name is Gayle Lewis, and I am a Patient Complaint Officer at King’s College Hospital. My reason for contacting you is to introduce myself and to confirm we are taking the concerns you raised about your recent experience at King’s forward through the formal complaints process.  The Trust aims to have investigated your concerns within 40 working days. Once our investigations are complete we will send you a formal response in a letter from one of our Executive team.  If at any stage we find we need more time to complete our investigations we will contact you to inform you of this.

I have read your account of what happened and apologise that this led to you raising a complaint.

To aid our investigation into your concerns, I have listed key points that you have asked us to respond to.

Dear Ms Myers,

My name is Gayle Lewis, and I am a Patient Complaint Officer at King’s College Hospital. I have read your account of what happened and apologise that this led to you raising a complaint.

Refer to

Hi Mervelee Myers,

Our team has reviewed your content, and, unfortunately, we think it violates our sex and nudity policy. MM Response: YouTube has proven itself to be a cyberbullying harasser, trolls, hating PEOPLE whose intellectual property, copyright, images and CPPDP they are making revenues from. Time Mervelee Myers lay down the laws to the Social Media CRIMINALS needing Emotional Regulation Treatment. I have contacted YouTube about violations but nothing has ever been done. We’ve removed the following content from YouTube: MM Response: I was unable to access the content because I was directed to a link for me to download an APP. Considering I was the victim of a person who created an email in merveleemyers59@hotmail.com and sent me an email trying to get control of my data. The person then bombarded me with private calls to my home phone and mobile. I got other emails. The next morning there were more emails, one of which had a PENIS attached. Considering my ordeals at Housing for Women with Metropolitan Police coming with battering RAM after failing to address the hate crimes from 13th December 2021. Is it any wonder I SNAPPED? Therefore, I will say that I am dealing with Richard Harty and his paedophile rings mastermind of June O’Sullivan and her Drag Queen Storytellers. Why Richard Harty the mastermind of MIC panic and called my mobile. Refer to PC Edward Allen who called me on behalf of FOS Emma Martin Hamilton and sent me an email I called him a BATTY BOY. The list goes on and on, but I will make sure children, young people and vulnerable adults are safeguarded. Because in this video I mention not exposing myself for “Sexual Gratification” the words the YouTube cyberbullies used to trigger between my husband’s funeral and date Mama Lou died with dementia on 1st June 2014 (https://youtu.be/umCkr178Nhw?si=Wii4EkQKDXTRfDH9).

Video: 11 May 2024. MM Response: Why can’t MERVELEE MYERS access this video without downloading a blinking APP? So YouTube can continue to discriminate against me.

We know that this might be disappointing, but it’s important to us that YouTube is a safe place for all. MM Response: YouTube is only a safe place for the A-Z of ABUSERS including PAEDOPHILES. If content breaks our rules, we remove it. MM Response: MERVELEE RATTY NEMBHARD-MYERS-TOMLINSON did not post anything on YouTube to break even their PAEOPHILE orientated rules. So YouTube can try again. But am putting them on records as party to Systemic Discrimination of Mervelee Myers. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can appeal and we’ll take another look. MM Response: I have no intention of appealing as this is just another tricks of the HATE MOBS. I have been buried under paperwork the past 10 years. Keep reading for more details. MM Response: Let me ask YouTube to go find their friends and companions and leave me alone. Or read IN HONOUR OF STRONG WOMEN EVERYWHERE.

How your content violated the policy. MM RESPONSE: I did not post any content to breach YouTube the friends of PAEDOPHILES and PERVERTS Policy.
Content with nudity that’s meant to be sexually gratifying. MM Response: If YouTube tried to get money of trying to use my content for “Sexual Gratification” they should share the proceeds with me (https://youtu.be/UU3Y9wibgLY?si=CP1rmWJmjV23-32P).

Isn’t allowed on YouTube. MM Response: Some of the contents seen on YouTube are demeaning to WOMEN ( https://youtu.be/umCkr178Nhw?si=4SiY1XNk8D0dlc6b & https://youtu.be/M1keBzhYQqE?si=hOjUxo3piuKyOik8) This includes content that shows real, (https://youtu.be/M1keBzhYQqE?si=rsN-tAd6EfWzTUv1) animated, (https://youtu.be/wg77wbNT8Kg?si=tltIOCtRTHlFYriV) or illustrated individuals(https://youtu.be/taA14IVIm9g?si=Srg0UT6qWgt5ye2h). We may make limited exceptions for content with educational (https://youtu.be/GP_TQeJ2GHY?si=hSAuEMk9FquYp9JN), documentary (https://youtube.com/shorts/xEnj4alKMOA?si=0GOGhJOlOW2WVNAv), scientific (https://youtu.be/UvDE9XV8zcM?si=0lELWcfRn9CEZGPR), or artistic context ( https://youtu.be/8g-7jUGZook?si=aVfo_Ij_Fu2u6Q8g).

We use a combination of automated systems and human reviews to detect violations of our Community Guidelines. MM Response: YouTube Community Guidelines is for the A-Z of ABUSERS including Richard Harty MIC June O’Sullivan’s Drag Queen Storytellers https://www.youtube.com/live/pmSlehqduMc?si=FO94HKDp6_ZdzRe3.
How this affects your channel… MM Response: The world will know about YouTube roles in the discrimination against MERVELEE MYERS covering for the A-Z of abusers including PAEDOPHILES https://www.youtube.com/live/BbAH427dpsE?si=Vg3pr5-iDppEV1Ip.
Because it’s the first time, this is just a warning. MM Response: YouTube is violating my RIGHTS as a Content Creator https://www.youtube.com/live/vcm8b6iBSkM?si=yKo0CGB1vgrfVzBO. If it happens again, your channel will get a strike and you won’t be able to do things like upload, post, or live stream for 1 week. MM Response: Mervelee Myers put on record that YouTube is just another CYBERBULLYING CRIMINAL https://www.youtube.com/live/FPQmABQcT5Y?si=JVRzhb_Gh-hzjxKw.

To have this warning expire in 90 days, you can take a quick policy training. MM Response: YouTube Policy is for PAEDOPHILE RINGS https://youtu.be/GfxJh1QOPTI?si=S8nN7mrUhJXEW-T2. We’ll show you scenarios similar to the policy you violated, so you can create content more confidently. MM Response: MERVELEE MYERS did not violate any of YouTube PAEDOPHILE RINGS Policy and Procedures https://www.youtube.com/live/ep30TYc_6yE?si=FxqXTspcchZIeuuO.

What to do next
We want to help you stay on YouTube, so please: MM Response: YouTube is party to SYSTEMIC DISCRIMINATION to cover for A-Z of ABUSERS including PAEDOPHILES of Richard Harty MIC https://www.youtube.com/live/Q3fmyvORpQg?si=jvLXmOSMy_yA-wpi.

Make sure you understand YouTube’s Community Guidelines and strikes basics. MM Response: YouTube the PAEDOPHILE RING will be exposed.
Review your content with our policies in mind. MM Response: YouTube Policy is made for PAEDOPHILES to discriminate against MERVELEE MYERS. If after reviewing your content you think we made a mistake, let us know. MM Response: I do not have time for YouTube PAEDOPHILES. You can appeal this decision here. MM Response: This is no different from the scammers that ask us to click on links.
Learn about your resolution options.

Sincerely,
