| View in browser Mervelee, this Diabetes Week, will you help more people with diabetes get the care and advice they desperately need? It’s my job to provide vital support through the Diabetes UK helpline, and every day I hear that diabetes can feel like a never-ending stream of numbers. Blood sugar, HbA1c, blood pressure, how many carbs were in that sandwich again? I know, sometimes, it can feel too much. But people living with diabetes are more than their numbers. And that’s why my team works so hard to provide the best possible advice and support. Every day, I speak with brilliant, inspiring people living full lives – but also facing all kinds of challenges, day in day out. So many feel stressed and anxious. People with diabetes need urgent care and support that goes beyond the numbers, especially to help change diet and get the right treatments. Your gift today can help to fund more trained helpline supervisors like me, so we can give life-changing support every day. Evidence suggests that nearly half of people with diabetes experience difficulties managing their diabetes. People tell me they need support with so many elements of diabetes, whether it’s nutrition, different medications, the latest technology or their emotional wellbeing. I’m constantly learning and doing in-depth research to ensure I give the best possible advice. But my team can only do this with the help of supporters like you. £15 could help us answer more calls and provide a lifeline for people with diabetes Your support will change lives – it’s that simple. With the right support at the right time, many life-altering diabetes complications can be prevented. Mervelee, you will know how serious diabetes is. More than 5 million people across the UK live with the daily challenges of diabetes. That’s why, as we approach the end of Diabetes Week, we’re calling on our whole community to stand up for people with diabetes. And you can play your part today. Every donation is critical. Your gift will ensure more people get support when they need it most, so they don’t feel like just another number. I’d also like to take this chance to thank you so much for your continued support for people with diabetes. Without you, my work just wouldn’t be possible. I hope you will consider giving again today. Thank you, Dominic Sauboorah Helpline Supervisor at Diabetes UK Thank you, Dominic Sauboorah Helpline Supervisor at Diabetes UK PS.
