Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Early Years Educator to work in Westminster. Key Responsibilities:

  2. Work as part of the Childcare Team, in order to plan, provide and evaluate a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum that meets the intellectual, social, moral, spiritual, linguistic and physical needs of each child. MM Updates: Go find me on http://www.jbsf.org.uk please. 
  3. Implement the nurseries vision, and work with agreed policies and procedures in relation to the Revised Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2021) and Development Matters (2020).   4. Take an active role in providing and promoting a safe and stimulating learning environment for children in the care of the Service. This includes ensuring a high standard of Safeguarding and Child Protection, hygiene, and health.   5. Supervise and ensure the safety of all children whilst they are in the Service’s care, and be fully aware of all emergency procedures. MM Updates: Refer to https://www.policeconduct.gov.uk for more.
  6. Work to the correct staff/child ratios as specified in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2021), and Ofsted’s requirements. MM Updates: Refer to http://judicialconduct.gov.uk for more. 
  7. Establish and maintain positive links with parents and professionals, in relation to individual key children. MM Updates: Refer to http://www.met.police.uk for more. 
  8. Participate in the delivery of learning activities and opportunities, and take the responsibility for individual key children’s teaching and learning outcomes. Attend end of day evaluation, monthly and termly staff meetings, to evaluate and plan curriculum activities, outings, prepare rotas and share information.   9. Promote parents involvement in their children’s learning and development, and as a Key Person, coordinate records in partnership with the child’s parents or carers. MM Updates: Refer to http://www.resourcesforautism.org.uk for more.

  11. Provide support and guidance for childcare students whilst on placement in the nursery setting and liaise with the Childcare Manager to complete termly assessments and end of year progress reports. MM Updates: Refer to https://www.voicetheunion.org.uk for more. 
  12. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of child development, and as a team member, share in the responsibility for the preparation, organising, resourcing, and evaluating the physical space, both indoors and outside the nursery. MM Updates: Refer to https://www.lambethcollege.ac.uk from 1997-1999.
  13. Promote school readiness through a range of learning activities, experiences and opportunities. Work in close partnership with parents, providers and schools to provide children with the opportunity to visit and prepare for the transition from nursery to reception class and primary school.   14. Following individual child observations and assessment, refer any concerns to the Childcare Manager/SENCO; complete speech and language referral forms and request SALT assessments if required.
